Many of the blossoms on the 270+ grevilleas contain nectar,
but not all of them.
The low, ground covers appear not to attract the birds. There
are some others whose blossoms are difficult for the hummers to penetrate.
Grevillea robusta is the tree I warn people not to plant. It gets huge.
For many people it is a terrible nuisance as it behaves much like poison oak -
terrible skin rashes result from touching the blossoms. I have over 60
grevilleas, species and hybrids, in my garden and that is the main reason I have
lots of hummers. g*@cruzio.com
