Salvia regla germination

This not strictly a Mediterranean plant (although it grows well in
California with occasional water). I have a very few seeds from this
shrub/perenniel, and wondered if anyone knew its germination
requirements. Since it comes from the highlands of Mexico/Texas, I
wondered if it needed cold stratification. I highly recommend the plant
to anyone - just finished blooming a month ago, and now dormant. It
does not reseed (at least here).
