Re: OLEANDERS

Dear all,
I've been enjoying all of your discussions of oleanders. This plant is a
part of my memories of growing up in California (a long time ago), when
water for our garden was extremely scarce (we were in a local water
district, and had to conserve). We all knew that all parts of the plant
were toxic; someone told me that the leaves had been used in ancient
Greece as a rodent preventitive.
My husband and I saw lovely dwarf oleander in Phoenix when we were there
recently, and would like to know where we might find some of these
miniatue plants in the San Fransisco Bay Area of California. Does anyone
have a suggestion on where we might find some?
