If you feel it worth while powdery mildew can be sprayed successfully.

The latest organic spray is actually just MILK diluted with an equal
amount of water (and yes, it DOES WORK) 

Incidently for anybody spraying against mildew, any treatment works much
better if the plant is first well sprayed with water to remove the
covering of loose spores. These act as a protection for the mycelium
beneath and often prevent the spray reaching it..
