Re: paeonia in med. climate

Hi Paeonia,
I was told by a paeonia grower in Oregon that I could grow them in California 
zone 9 if I planted them closer to the surface so they would get colder. The 
grower said to "plant early varieties and don't plant as deep". I have seen 
paeonia growing in California zone 9, the central valley.
