RE: South American Botanical Spots

Hi Glenn,

On BIRDCHAT recently, Wim Vader of Norway has been recounting his recent trip to
South America. Although the focus is on birds, he does talk about places and
plants and perhaps an email to him might generate some leads.

The archives can be found at http://listserv.arizona.edu/archives/birdchat.html.
Select 'November 2003, week 2' for his messages called 'S. America glimpses'.
His email address is in the messages.

Cheers,
Bracey

Subject: South American Botanical Spots

Hi All
I'm doing a South American trip next southern autumn. Going hiking in the
Torres del Paines Park in Patagonia first then starting in Ushuaia at the
bottom end of Tierra del Fuego & travelling up the line of the Andes
through Chile to Peru & Bolivia. If anyone has any recommendations for any
interesting parks or botanical spots in this region I'd be very interested
in hearing about them.

Regards
