Not having been there in summer, and being curious,
I looked up the temperatures:

Average daily minimum-maximum temps for Feb,March are:
Sydney 19-26 17-25
Adelaide 16-28 14-25
Perth 19-30 17-29
Alice Springs 21-35 17-32
