R: A special bamboo

Nan, look here: http://www.planethorticulture.com/portfolio/hort/hortpublic/Corner/group1/Cornerindex1.htm ; in the last photos of the group you can see something like them; the photos are not very clear, but that might be it - I know that these designers have used in the past the "bamboos" you refer to, as I saw them in this garden: http://www.planethorticulture.com/portfolio/hort/hortresidential/Maybeck/group3/Maybeckindex3.htm# - you can hardly see them, top right photo.
Ciao,
Alessandra

Oggetto: A special bamboo

Does anyone happen to know where I might get a photo of a very
"special" bamboo that Marcia Donohue created some time back. This
particular "species" had quite distinctive "male" plants" - if you
know what I mean. I saw them several years ago on a tour of
Chanticleer Gardens but last time I was there, they had been replaced
by a rooster-topped "species."

Nan
