In my experience and as a broad generalisation (Languedoc, France) the most drought resistant are most Med basin natives and the Californian natives. Your pic looks like Hot Lips, a Microphylla cv. I find all the st greggii/microphylla/xjamensis cvs etc pretty drought resistant but won't survive without a little irrigation. pic looks rather like canariensis tho not totally sure.
