Flora of the Canary Islands
The list Flora_Canary_Islands@onelist.com, Spain, focuses on ENDEMIC
SPECIES of this archipel (currently approx. 1000 taxa). Furthermore
this list should give the opportunity to exchange seeds/plants from
these Islands of Eternal Spring, situated at some 150km from the
Northwest coast of Marocco (Africa) in the Atlantic Ocean. Many of
the endemic plants on the Canary Islands have their natural
distribution limited to few sites, sometimes limited to only a
couple of square meters, or a small mountain range, therefore one
of this list's main purposes is the distribution of cultivated
plants/seeds to enthusiasts / professionals all over the world.
