new Medit-Plants 'list owner'

Fellow subscribers - 

This is just to inform you that I can currently the
'list owner' instead of just a sort of 'psuedo-moderator'
for Medit-Plants.  I am giving Dave Burger and break as
he has taken on this responsibility for all these years.
If you have problems or needs, please feel free to address
them to me (hopefully, I'll know what to do!  ;-).

I'd also like to say, now that I have first hand knowledge
of what a 'list owner' must go through, that you can do
us people a REAL favor by:

- Signing off the group before your e-mail account lapses 
(many people just figure it'll get cleaned up by SOMEONE)

- Keeping your mailboxes cleaned out so they don't run out
of room or your overreach your 'quota', depending upon the
system you are on.

What has been happening of late is that one (or two) accounts
with problems have been causing innocent bystanders to be
dropped from the list when they post messages to the discussion
(NOT the desired effect!).  Because this 'clean up' of these
accounts requires some analysis and effort in order not to
mess up even more people, the problem goes on for a while (and
more people are effected) until it is solved.

Please! place it in the back of your minds now that you will
NEVER let your account just languish into a state that someone
must fix merely because it was too much trouble to send a note
to unsubscribe or tell the list owner that your account was
expiring.
