Hi Kurt,
Saw your plea for Agave americana. I'm not a botanist and don't know why
the leaves become contorted with age..but I know you can contact
cactus&succulent nurseries in your area. Have a look at www.cactus-mall.com
and look at the links there. Or contact the local cactus&succulent club in
your area, I am sure they would be delighted to help you!
If you lived in Europe, now then there you would be showered with offers
;-))) of plants/offsets!
