Lavender, Citrus, Eucalyptus, Olive, Bougainvillea, Oleander, and Canary
Island date palm come immediately to mind. Roses and pines, while not
strictly mediterranean, should probably also be in included because of
their ubiquity. That's my nine. If you want to go into the top 20 or
50, it might be more interesting. Anyone else going to give it a shot?
Well judging by the volume on this list, we couldn't possibly leave out
salvia/sage. And what about irises (the medit region kind)? I'd put
capers on a top 25, don't know about top 10. And Cassia (natal plum) too.
Camillias? are they medit enough? Grapes are definately medit. And then
there are all the berries native to medit regions. Yes, I have a bias for
edibles :-)
