Thanks to David for the fascinating list, including several I hadn't
come across but which, even here in the UK, sound as though they might
be distinctly useful (eg the Molyneux and Forrester Austraflora Guide)
- and to add that, yes, if the UK had an equivalent of the Chinese
system of Living National Treasures or Cultural Monuments or whatever,
then Harry Hay would certainly be many people's nomination for the
horticultural one.
