Re: Haemanthus albiflos
Hi Nan--
--I have one (2,3,4,5...) in Corfu. The reason I moved it back to a
pot, after several years in the ground (in light shade) is not because
it wasn't doing well, but because both in flower (September) and in leaf
(October to June) it looked like a misshapen alien intruder among the
other plants, it's good points (questionable where the shovel-like
leaves are concerned) totally lost in the variety of the bed. I moved
it to a wide but shallow pot and tuck it out of sight only to be brought
out and admired in September, set apart from the other pots. It needs
no special care and is thriving and multiplying on poor soil and no
feeding. I give out bulbs to friends when I divide it.

PS I have a good photo from last month that I can attach to you
directrly if you want. (Just flowers)
