Actually, you should not have much trouble keeping one in a smaller pot than
Trevor suggests.  The trick is to get it to bloom.  In the ground down here
it only blooms in years when we have particularly warm, dry winters--say
once every 7-10 years.  Even then, it may lose its leaves and flower only on
some branches while others remain evergreen without blossoms.  The secret
seems to be to dry it out completely in the fall.  Perhaps Trevor can tell
us more precisely what season is driest in its native habitat.
