Hello All, I’m back on the list! I am in the very low foothills east of Sacramento, CA, and I have a small, raised bed “formal” front yard vegetable garden. There are DG paths between the three variously shaped veg beds, and the garden perimeter, front walk and street-facing beds are all ornamentals. In the winter I typically grow several different lettuces in colorful rows, along with broccoli, kale, arugula, collards, and escarole. I have done cabbage but was only successful once. It really requires starting early. I also usually sow snow peas and sugar snap peas in late fall/early winter for an early spring crop. That’s about it! Cheers,
