Hugo is quite right. Argentinian ants have invaded Southern California in
record numbers, displacing the native ants and are now considered an
extremenly bad pest problem. In fact an article in the local newspaper
yesterday said that they are an even larger problem than cockroaches and
fleas. It also cited concerns of wildlife managers as the ants make their
way into our natural areas. But in the house-- well, can you imagine
several two-inch wide lines of ants parading througout the house? We've
had this experience many times this summer. They are everywhere, in the
pantry, in our bedrooms, in the walls. It is overwhelming.
In my experience using this chalk, we use only a half-inch line, so there
is no aerosol, and there is virtually no exposure to skin (except when I
put down the line and then I leave the plastic wrap on), I put the line
where it won't be walked on, and none is inhaled.
Yes, I did use it on my fruit trees and it worked like a dream!
I am not one to use pesticides lightly, but this stuff seems like a godsend.
And what exactly is VIM?
