Interesting that they have gills. Although they do have counterparts in
the deep seas, and these get 3 feet long (imagine them that big on
land!) Anyways, as little kids here in cali we called them "Rolly
Pollys" (like roll-e pole-e's). Anyways ive been told that they eat
rotting leaves and detritus, however they tend to congregate in places
like between the leaves of "rosette" forming plants. Ive never found
them to do harm (then again weve had less since we eliminated the
Kikuyu lawn)
