OLEANDER CUTTINGS

Oleanders root very easily if treated properly. Cut stems with no flowers

(when the plant is in full bloom...in Rome that would be July and August),
strip off the bottom leaves and place in a quart fruit jar so you can check
the roots. Fill to the brim with water (bare stems under water, leaves
left on above), place in a shady spot outside and do not touch. If the
water evaporates, add more, but don't touch the cuttings. The want peace
and quiet.

When they have filled the jar with roots, carefully seperate the cuttings
and plant...any type of soil...they are tough, but will need full sun.

Remember, every part of this plant is poisionous, so put the cuttings out
of the reach of small children, and wash your hands very well after
preparing the cuttings.

The Romans associated this beautiful plant with death, understandably so.
Handle with care and enjoy the bushes without touching them.
