The one that I like going to is Ralph Moore's Sequoia Nursery in Visalia.
Ralph Moore (The Father of Modern Miniature Roses) is an internationally
famous breeder of miniature roses. Sequoia Nursery sells mainly mailorder,
but is open to the public. They mainly have lots of miniature roses but also
have something like 80 old roses. I've always enjoyed walking around in the
nursery. Ralph Moore is quite old now, but still active and sometimes he is
there walking about and you might be able to talk to him.

The address is:
Sequoia Nursery
2519 E. Noble Ave.
Visalia, CA 93292
Phone: (559) 732-0309
Nursery hours: Monday-Friday 8:30-4:00 Sat. & Sun. 10-4

It'll be right on your way. You can take Hwy 99 to Hwy 198 that goes to the
park. In Visalia take the Lover's Lane exit (on the eastern edge of
Visalia). Noble is a frontage road to the highway just south of Hwy 198.
Head west on Noble for about a quarter of a mile to the Nursery.
