I have a friend back east who has never seen the forests we have out
west. He was shocked we had pines, oaks, cypresses, maples, etc.
because he thought that all of those trees ONLY grew in moist
conditions. Anyway, for a nice picture of some deciduous trees in fall
color in the Los Padres National Forest go here:

The trees are in shades of orange and yellow but it is a nice picture
and the trees contrast nicely with the drier hills above the trees.
