Hi Diane, cant answer your query, dont have any experience with a Laurel
doing this, but thought you might like to hear about a tree I visit from
time to time. It's a Horse Chestnut, Aesculus hippocastanum, a big tree,
25m ish, this has touched down and rooted many times and has covered a vast
area, maybe as much as 100m wide - quite a sight! Wouldnt put a lot of
faith in the accuracy of my estimate of size, but its big.
