Hi
I would guess that native plants in any area are much the same. Here in
NZ in a study of restoring native vegetation in an area which had been
strip mined for coal the major success came where the top-hamper had
been preserved in its original layering and was laid back on the
reconstituted surface. It seems that the success resulted from the
preservation of most of the soil flora and fauna on which the native
plants were accustomed. Application of fertilizers, on the other hand
was counter-productive.
