Hi all,
I would like to thank you all for your answers about the hostas in medit
climate.
As Moira says, at least, in these hot climates, slugs and snails are less
invasive.
I found a tremendous site for hostas : Giboshi.com
Chantal,
Ermenonville till november the 5th
and Montpellier for the rest of my life

L-O-N-G summers. These are seedlings of H seiboldiana. I cannot say they
always look convincingly happy. I have much better luck with potted clumps
of hybrids. i can control the watering better, there is no competition from
nearby trees and shrubs, and they are mobile colour features. Without doubt
the best is SUM AND SUBSTANCE. FRANCIS WILLIAMS is hopeless - the leaves
have no substance and shrivel in full shade if the air gets dry. I also grow
CHRISTMAS TREE, WIDE BRIM, MIDAS TOUCH, GOLD STANDARD. double white and
several others quite satisfactorilly in large tubs.
