MGS meeting in No. Calif. on Sunday (9/23)

Hi Folks -

I know its short notice (should have gotten to this earlier), but I was
asked to post some information about the Mediterranean Garden Society
meeting this Sunday (9/23) at the UC Berkeley Botanical Garden. It will be
held at 1pm in the classroom in the center of the garden. Parking at the
public lot is 50cents per hour, and MGS members will be provided free
entrance to the gardens themselves. The speaker is me, with a slide show
entitled 'A Travelogue of Mediterranean France and Italy', which is an
account of the trip Deborah and I took last October to attend the Annual
General Meeting of the MGS in Palermo Sicily and the traveling we did
before and after that event. We will have some general news and
announcements, a plant raffle with donations from the UCB Bot. Garden and
Cal Flora Nursery in the North Bay. UCB Bot. Garden also is providing to
all attendees a booklet of mediterranean climate plants features in the
garden which are of interest to gardeners.

Looks like it will be a nice day to visit this wonderful garden so you
might plant to arrive early with a bag lunch and a blanket - there is a
nice lawn close to the classroom and there are a few benches that can be
sought out in interesting places throughout the gardens.
