Thank you so much for your suggestions
I'll go and dig one up as soon as it stops raining. The first sign tends to be that the leaves become
a bit papery and white with no apparent parasites on them, as though they've had their lifeblood
sucked out of them, and within the space of a few days the plant is dead
I shall let you know what happens!
