The Infiorata in San Francisco needs your help

An interesting cultural event taking place in San Francisco from now until Sunday. This tradition of laying a patterned carpet of flowers is being executed by professional infioratori from Noto, Italy. Certainly worth checking out the web page link below that shows some of their work!

Dear Friend of the Infiorata,

The infioratori are here!

They arrived on Monday from the town of Noto, Italy, and they are now working full time at the Metreon's SoMa Room, in San Francisco (101 4th St, San Francisco, CA 94103: located two blocks away from the Powell BART Station)

The flower exhibit will take place on Sunday at the Yerba Buena Gardens in San Francisco, but the Infioratori need your help now.

Please find some time during the following days to join them in preparing their beautiful flowers mosaics (see schedule below). Check out their previous projects at: http://www.infioratadinoto.it/index2.htm

The Infioratori will make two vast mosaics carpets with 220,000 flowers, depicting Sicilian mythological images in one, San Francisco and Noto scenes in the other.

The Infioratori need your help: let’s show them the value of the Bay Area community! Bring your friends: there is work for everybody, of every age.

The Infiorata is presented to San Francisco in the Yerba Buena Gardens. The Metreon's SoMa Room will be transformed into an Italian market, and Sicilian singers will perform the music of Bellini, Verdi and others.
