OK! I finally have a question for this august group. I saw a tree in Brisbane Australia. It looked like a young Jacaranda. But instead of the castanet shaped seed pods it had long (8-10") seed pods that looked like a large pea. The seed pod was very woody and solid. It had spaced transverse internal holes each of which had an elongated seed pod. I have no idea what the flower looked like. Does this crude description from a chemist ring any bells with anyone? ---Chas---
