Re: fire retardant plants

Hi All,

I have a book to recommend on this subject- California Wildfire Landscaping
by Maureen Gilmer. Published by Taylor Publishing Company, Dallas, Texas,
1994. ISBN 0-87833-864-0 . US$10.95

The book has specific tips for landscaping, creating fuel zones and managing
wild barriers. The book also has information boxes with short discussions of
explanations of topics like mowable groundcovers, common sources of
wildfires, and habitat.

There are also several lists of plants and their specific landscape and
firescape applications.
