I have just received a copy of the  new FLORA, mine in one huge volume
and I think it is excellent for a gardeners dictionary of plants that
operates on a global format. The balance of Cool Temperate, Temperate,
Mediterranean, sub-Tropical and Tropical plants is well balanced and
reasonably comprehensive. As a general reference work it is a great
starting point for any gardener, tho' as such it has limitations in the
number of cultivars or species included under any genus heading. The
colour photos are crystal clear and the colour rendition excellent.
