re: aphids on tomatoes


Moira, thanks for yet another informative post in response to my
aphids-on-tomato problem as the plants decline at the end of the summer.

Of course I used lots of compost when planting and the tomatoes got enough
water this summer (at other times they haven't). No blight has hit them, as
far as I can tell.

Another interesting first was that I saw a tomato hornworm while examining
the aphid infestation. Never before have I had one of those and I've
assumed that they just don't tend to live around here.
