I've just got these in the mail and am going to plant them where I don't water much at all in the summer. Should I water the planting site now, or should I leave them dry till it starts to rain in Nov.?I am sorry not to have replied earlier, as I have not seen anybody else giving you an answer.
Both these species of Crocus are true Mediterranean plants and very happy to be left unwatered until the November rains start. In fact much moisture as early a this might make at least C medius rot, though C kotschyanus is rather more tolerent.
