That might work - but be careful that the stronger draft induced by the container does not cause more sparks to fly up.

BUT one that does require some caution.

We are sensitive to "intentional" fires here in California.

They can get out of hand.

I got to wondering, could one cut the bottom out of a garbage can, place it over the bush and then set fire to it? ---Chas---
