My mother grew the King fig in Berkeley for many years. It's a green fig. Our tree was a total success--every year a huge crop of absolutely delicious figs. Smallish tree, no problems, just joyful munching.

I received an email today from someone in Oakland, California asking about King fig and how well that is suited to her area. She'd been told that King does better than brown turkey or black mission in her area.I haven't grown or eaten King - anyone have an opinion on that? Thanks! Nan
