The Mediterranean Garden Society

invites you and your family and friends to a
Â
private tour of
Sam Maloofâs House and Garden
5131 Carnelian Street, Alta Loma, CA
Â
Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 9:30 a.m.
One of the finest woodworkers of our time and a leader of the
California modern arts movement, Sam Maloof designed and produced
beautiful wood furniture for over 50 years.Â
Â
Our main focus will be the extensive water-wise garden, which compliments
the house and demonstrates practical ways we can use
California natives and other mediterranean plants in our own gardens.
For more information, visit Beverly's Garden home.
Â
After the garden tour, we will visit Samâs hand-built house, now a museum
filled with his furniture and an outstanding arts and crafts collection.
Â
The Maloof Compound is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Refreshments upon arrival
