Guess I'm getting old - I ACTUALLY MEANT Myrtus communis in my prior post,
the True Myrtle, not Myrica californica, the Pacific Wax Myrtle! Sorry
for the confusion!!
Now I'm wondering what Anthony really has. I have not grown Myrica
myself, though it is often grown here and in Northern California &
Oregon. My references say nothing about pruning techniques, though they
do mention it can be trimmed into hedges.
