re: Phacelia campanularia - aka Mystery Plant

Katherine, I looked at the pictures and it looked like a match, but
I could not tell about the leaves, and then I went home and looked up
Phacelia campanularia in A-Z and there it was, a picture perfect match.
Thank-you very much.

Chad, your "mystery plant" sounds to me like Phacelia campanularia,
commonly called California bluebells here in southern Arizona. Here in the
desert it's mostly a spring wildflower, but if it has some water it can
continue blooming through the summer. It's a beautiful deep blue, all
right! And it does self-sow to some extent, though never as much as I would
like...

I found two pictures of Phacelia campanularia on the web, at:
http://metalab.unc.edu/herbmed/pictures/p-se/phaccamp.jpg
and
http://metalab.unc.edu/herbmed/pictures/p-se/phaccam1.jpg

How about it Chad, do these pictures look like your mystery plant?
