As several people have mentioned, the variety "Raja Puri" (or Rajapuri as I
have seen it several places) is considered the cold-hardiest of the edible
bananas. You can order it from Stokes Tropicals online for $16.95 plus $5.95
shipping and handling, but you might be able to find another (cheaper) source
for it. Good luck.
