Barb, you don't mention if you are interested in conservation or recycling -
such as using your  "gray"water for watering ornamentals and lawn   (only if
your cleaning solutions are not harmful to plants)  so you could use
"fresh"  water for your edible plants.  Showers, dishwashing, laundry, can
all provide possible graywater - and that's a lot of gallons.
