RE: Nashi Pear
Hi,
Thanks to everyone who has replied re mangoes and nashi fruit.
At the beginning of this thread I was starting to believe Nashi pears hadn't
infiltrated many parts of the world, but after the beautiful description given
by Trevor Nottle people knew what I was talking about.
It sounds like other people have had some luck growing them in the
Mediterranean climate so I'll probably give them a go. I'll just have to keep
a keen eye out for those coddling moths by the sound of things.
Those of you who have grown them, do you think they'd take kindly to being
espaliered?
Bye for now,
