Its Connie not Ginny but to offer my experience since I live in high desert
region the soil ph is high with little to no humus and these bloom faithfully
for me..The lime should do the trick as everything I read says thats what it
prefers.As I understand it they originated from the coastal areas of British
Isles(as well as Asia,and mountain areas of Europe) where they were exposed to
salt spray etc.and high lime soils, apparently evolved to need this is terms
of ph.Hope that helped.
