When Nancy posted this in January, I had no idea I would be going to Chelsea
this year, too!
I just reread the thread in the archives to take note of the gardens everyone
recommended. What to do? What to do? So many gardens, so little time...
I will definitely visit the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew and, thanks to your
tips, the Physic Garden. I hope to get to Wisley or Sissinghurst, but I'm
not sure how my husband's attention span will hold up after a full day at the
Chelsea show and a full day at Kew.
We will also visit the Jardin du Luxembourg and Jardin des Plantes in Paris
and make side trips to Vaux le Vicomte and Giverny. Does anyone know of
another garden in or around Paris that is not to be missed?
I have been wondering if any other listees are planning to attend the Chelsea
Flower Show. Wouldn't it be fun to arrange to meet? It might be difficult
to connect at the show, but perhaps we could take a walk in the Physic garden
together, or have tea or something. If you will be in London at the time of
the show and are interested, please e-mail me privately. --Janis
