Re: Chelsea Show and Europe

I second Betty and also add that I'm green with envy:-) Just read in
new issue of RHS 'The Garden' that several places in France have
suffered incredible storm damage with trees down like they were in
the UK in '88-90....so be prepared if you visit France....such a
tragedy, the loss of countless mature trees.

Also note that you need to check opening times at the Physic Garden.
Seem to remember they are somewhat sporadic.

Have a grand trip, Janis - and any others lucky enough to go. You'll
be attending the first year of the new, improved marquee and layout.
Prepare for crowds of immense proportions...I found when I went
(waaay back in '85) that they thinned out around 5PM.

All the gardens you mention, Janis, are great...hard to choose
between them. Bribe hubby so you can get to all of them.
Sissinghurst is one you really need a car to get to. You can do it
by train, bus and walking, but it ain't easy. Wisley has bus
service, I think.
