Oh, Louise, that sounds so wonderful! You must write and tell us of your
experiences. Wouldn't it have been lovely to have met and enjoyed
Sissinghurst together? It may be just as well as I would probably be too
absorbed in the garden to be very sociable.

That's why I have chosen Giverny as a priority. There are, I know, grander
gardens near Paris. But Monet has always been my inspiration for color. To
me, he is the all-time master of color, both in his paintings and in his
gardens. I have a book, Monet's Gardens, I think it's called, that shows
photos of his paintings next to the Giverny gardens that inspired them. So
many times when I am working on a design I have referred to that book for
enlightenment. I am delighted that when we are there the wisteria he planted
over the bridge will be in bloom. It will be such a thrill to see that
painting come to life.

I'm not much of a photographer, but I am planning on having my garden photos
printed to disk and setting up a web site so all of you can see them.
Thanks to all of you for your help and good wishes! --Janis
