RE: Butterfly bushes/Geum

Hello Kay,

I grow Geum 'Mrs Bradshaw' (Zone 8). It is a terrific splash of colour
(red) from late spring/ summer. The only problem I had with it was mildew
last year. I removed the infected leaves and it soon clumped out again.

If it works for you, look out for others in yellow, orange and red - they
are relatively easy to grow, and flower for weeks if deadheaded. I also
have Geum rivale which prefers a moist soil.

Valerie, South Yorks, England.
