Well I can't blame kids. Deer eat the tulips before they even bud up. I've
been blaming bunnies for some of the damage but the other day my husband led
me to a spring flower clump where a few flowers were missing and said,
"Don't blame the rabbits for this!  I saw a starling flying away with the
two flowers in its bill".
Thank goodness the grandkids next door have had the fear of wrath put into
them and they leave my flowers alone. VBG
