I was wondering whether to credit our Jack Russell terrier for the lack
of deer damage to my garden; we live on about two acres out in the
country; I have flowers in the front of the house and in various other
places, and a tomato garden out in the field;
so far, and it's been seven years, the deer have not been a real
problem; maybe they were to blame for some flower losses way out in the
field, but that could have been the beavers, or woodchucks;
our JR is as fearless as the breed is supposed to be; one year he took
on a woodchuck bigger than himself, and almost killed it; my husband had
to put it down with a gun though.
