My "Bluebells" are very late this year too- I thought I lost my clump because
I saw no sign of it. It was moved last spring to a new spot as the "wild
Flower" garden is being replaced with raised beds and the plants are being
potted up or incorporated into the other beds.

I saw this weekend that the "blue bells" are starting to come up, the
bellworts are from 1 to 8 inches tall, depending on the location. It is a
weird year here too-with the Trillium blooming before the bell worts.

If she put them in a spot that thaws out very late and stays cool-they might
still be in the ground, also playing a role is how deep they were planted.
The crowns of both plants like to be just covered with soil and not buried to
deep.
