Re: New plants?/ Pulmonaria

Marge, Marilyn and others on Pulmonaria...
Funny how experience varies with the same cultivar from one region to
another. I have had P. Majeste for some years now in my garden. Liked my
experience so much I place another drift up in my hillside garden.
Transplanted 6 in a drift with the so-called "black" foliage hosta, crested
victorian lady ferns under the foliage of a wolf's eye dogwood. Love that
almost complete pewter foliage. Nothing seems to bother mine and it performs
like a champ. Good bloom while a mix of bright green and pewter with blue
and pink. Then over to pure pewter for the rest of the year into late fall.
Another favorite of mine if the old cultivar "Johnson's Blue"... small
leaves only 8 inches tall. Unmarked and felted green forming a good tight
clump that slowly spreads. Has numerous bright blue blooms with no pink....
Almost hurts your eyes to stand and look at it when the sun is on the
blooms. Had this one for many years... never any problems. Old is good.
